The Astro Bot Limit Edition DualSense controller is now available for pre-order ahead of its September 6 launch. Considering Astro’s Playroom was a brilliant (and free!) demonstration of the DualSense controller’s unique features, it seems quite fitting that PlayStation would release this controller alongside Astro Bot, the upcoming PS5 platformer that launches on the same day.
Pre-orders for the Astro Bot PS5 controller have opened at Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Target, GameStop, and PlayStation Direct. At GameStop, you must be a Pro member ($25/year) to purchase it. Since our last update (12:02 p.m. ET), Best Buy had the controller in stock.
NOTE: Pre-orders sell out within minutes of release at most retailers. We recommend refreshing store pages to check for restocks if you are unable to get a restock initially.

Pre-orders for the Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense controller for PS5 (and PC) just went live at 7am PT / 10am ET. Special edition PS5 controllers have almost always sold out quickly in the past, so you’ll probably want to pre-order ASAP. We’ll update this article with more pre-order listings as they go live.
Featuring a white and blue design, it features multiple accents and a pair of button eyes staring at you from the touchpad.
While it boasts a striking new design, it’s a standard DualSense. That means you don’t get back buttons or customizable components like the DualSense Edge, but it has all the features that make the DualSense such a cool controller: haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and a built-in microphone.
Pre-orders for the controller won’t be available until August 9, but pre-orders for the Astro Bot game are open now. If you reserve a copy in advance, you’ll receive cool gifts, including a range of in-game goodies and an adorable physical poster for your gaming room.
The Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense follows hot on the heels of the Concord Limited Edition DualSense. Based on the shooter of the same name, you get a black gamepad with red and blue stripes across the entire front. Like the upcoming Astro Bot controller, this one will only be available for a limited time.
