Powerball ticket worth ,000 sold in NJ supermarket

A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at a Bergen County supermarket for Wednesday’s lottery drawing.

The third-prize winning ticket was sold at Krauszer’s Food Store on West Main Street in Ramsey, lottery officials said. The ticket matched four numbers but did not match the Powerball.

No one nationwide won Wednesday’s $185 million jackpot, so Saturday’s top prize increased to $201 million, with a $100 million cash option. No tickets were sold for the $1 million second prize in Wednesday’s drawing either.

The winning numbers from Wednesday were: 6, 19, 35, 47 And 57The Powerball drawn was 9 with a power play of 3-fold.

Additionally, no one won the second $10 million Double Play drawing on Wednesday. The winning numbers were: 16, 29 31, 60 And 65. The Double Play number drawn was: 26.

Wednesday’s drawing was the second consecutive drawing in which a $50,000 ticket was sold in Bergen County. A winning ticket for Monday’s drawing was purchased at a gas station in Englewood.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,201,388. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance of matching five numbers and winning at least $1 million, while the odds of winning a third prize of at least $50,000 are 1 in 913,129.

The Powerball drawing takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot has an estimated value of $398 million with a cash payout option of $197.9 million.
