According to the FDA, the Palmer Candy Company has issued a warning about its “White Coated Confectionary Items.”

The FDA stated that these items could be contaminated with salmonella, a food-borne bacterial infection.

This warning was upgraded to a Class I recall on August 6.

A Class I recall is the most severe level the FDA can impose.

According to the FDA, this classification means that an article can cause “serious health consequences or death.”

Several Palmer Candy Company items were affected by this mass recall.
