According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), two suspects were arrested in connection with a violent altercation following a collision on westbound SR 518 near Sea-Tac Airport on July 30, 2024.
Police said the incident occurred around 8 p.m. that evening when emergency calls reported a fight at the scene.
When police arrived, they found two victims who said they were attacked after attempting to exchange information with the occupants of a dark-colored Range Rover. According to the victims, the driver and passenger of the suspect vehicle attacked both individuals and punched a woman in the face while she was sitting in her car.
During the altercation, the male victim’s firearm fell to the ground, which the suspects picked up before fleeing in the Range Rover. The male victim was also struck by the speeding vehicle and thrown to the ground. Both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
After a two-week investigation, WSP detectives identified and arrested suspects Shalynn Dual, 29, and Weldon Carey, 33. Both were booked into the King County Jail on multiple counts of aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
