Piers Morgan has apologized to Jay-Z and Beyoncé after a guest on his show Uncensored made claims he described as “completely false”.

Last week he interviewed singer Jaguar Wright on the topic The recent arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs.

She said on the show that she had been “screaming” for four years that “Diddy and Jay-Z were monsters.”

Morgan said Tuesday that he had been contacted by lawyers for Jay-Z and Beyoncé, who said the claims were “completely false and have no basis in fact.”

Jaguar Wright is a singer-songwriter who has previously collaborated with Jay-Z.

The former Good Morning Britain host said Wright would have expressed her opinion regardless of her appearance on the show: “The reality of the modern world is that pretty much everyone has a platform, as long as they have something to say that others People want to hear.” “.

He added: “That’s why we invited (Wright) for an interview. The people making these claims have an audience with or without shows like mine.”

But Morgan said after hearing from the couple’s lawyers, they would edit Wright’s allegations out of the show.

He then immediately apologized, saying, “Editing interviews is not something we do lightly on a show called Uncensored.”

“But like the proverbial screams of fire in a crowded theater, there are legal limits for us too. And we apologize to Jay-Z and Beyoncé.”
