DETROIT LIONS 26, LOS ANGELES RAMS 20

Lions WR Jameson Williams

Williams, who was on the field for 30 pass receptions, caught a pass on 26.7% of his reps and converted those eight attempts into five pass receptions for 121 yards. He finished the game with a 4.03 yards per route run average, helped significantly by three plays of 15+ yards.

DALLAS COWBOYS 33, CLEVELAND BROWNS 17

Cowboys EDGE Micah Parsons

Parsons collected one sack, four hits and six hurries in 48 pass-rush snaps in the Cowboys’ win over the Browns. More than half of those pressures were either unblocked or achieved on cleanup plays, which is why Parsons’ pass-rush win rate of 20.8% is lower than his pressure rate of 22.9%, even though five pass-rush wins did not result in pressure situations.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 37, WASHINGTON COMMANDERS 20

Commander QB Jayden Daniels

Like his fellow rookie quarterbacks, Daniels didn’t have the best debut as a passer, completing just 2 of 6 passes beyond the post for 27 yards. However, he was very effective as a runner, rushing for 88 yards and scoring two runs on 15 rushing attempts, earning a PFF running grade of 74.6 along the way.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS 22, LAS VEGAS RAIDERS 10

Chargers EDGE – Joey Bosa

Bosa recorded a sack, a hit and a hurry and had three other non-pressure wins on 28 pass-rushing snaps, giving him a 17.9% pass-rush win rate. He also impressed in the run game, with two of his three tackles resulting in a defensive stop. The former No. 3 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft also forced a fumble.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 26, DENVER BRONCOS 20

Broncos quarterback Bo Nix

Nix struggled in his first career start, posting a PFF passing grade of 40.4. The hope with Nix was that he could avoid mistakes early in his career, something he did very well in his final season at Oregon, but that was not the case in his debut, as he recorded three turnovers.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 16, CINCINNATI BENGALS 10

Patriots EDGE Keion White

After the sale of the Patriots Matthew Judon, Keion White was expected to be the next man on the defensive line, and if Week 1 is anything to go by, he seems ready to take on that role. White dominated against the Cincinnati Bengalsreceived a PFF pass-rushing grade of 90.8 and collected three sacks in 28 pass-rushing snaps.

HOUSTON TEXANS 29, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS 27

Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson

An inconsistent day as a passer for Anthony Richardson saw him complete 9 of 19 passes for 212 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He missed some open throws, but also had one of the most incredible passes of the week, throwing a long touchdown under pressure that traveled more than 65 yards in the air. He also impressed as a runner, earning an 81.8 PFF rushing grade with three missed tackles forced on six attempts.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS 18, ATLANTA FALCONS 10

Steelers EDGE TJ Watt

Watt was unblockable from the outside for the Steelers in their win over the Falcons, and it shows in the game report, as Watt received a PFF overall grade of 95.3 for the game. He had one sack and two hits on 23 pass-rushing snaps, but he also recorded two more sacks on five plays that were nullified by penalties.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS 28, NEW YORK GIANTS 6

Vikings CB Stephon Gilmore

Gilmore played 45 coverage snaps in his first start for the Vikings and earned a PFF coverage grade of 75.6. He allowed pass catches on all three targets in his coverage, but they only went for 29 yards, and he recorded two tackles that resulted in a defensive stop.

CHICAGO BEARS 24, TENNESSEE TITANS 17

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams

The No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft looked very much like a rookie in his NFL debut, earning a PFF grade of 47.4. There were some nice moments mixed with a general lack of consistency — which is to be expected from a player making his first NFL appearance. Williams finished the game 3 of 8 through the posts for 28 yards.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 47, CAROLINA PANTHERS 10

Saints quarterback Derek Carr

Carr played his best game since arriving in New Orleans, reaching a PFF passer grade of 88.7 – a mark he has held since Week 6 of the 2021 season with the Las Vegas RaidersAgainst the Panthers, he completed 19 of 23 passes for 200 yards, including one spectacular throw and one play that would have required a turnover.

BUFFALO BILLS 34, ARIZONA CARDINALS 28

Bills EDGE Greg Rousseau

Rousseau had one of the best games of his career as the Bills came back from behind to beat the Cardinals. He finished the game with a PFF pass-rushing score of 87.2 after recording three sacks and a hurry, and he recorded two tackles that resulted in a defensive stop against the run.

MIAMI DOLPHINS 20, JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS 17

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill

After a pregame incident, the star receiver dominated again and the Dolphins took the win. He averaged 3.61 yards per route run and earned a PFF receiving grade of 81.2. He managed 130 yards on seven pass catches from 12 targets.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES 34, GREEN BAY PACKERS 29

Eagles T Lane Johnson

Johnson proved once again why he is one of the NFL’s best offensive tackles with a stellar performance Friday night in Brazil. He didn’t allow a single sack, hit or hurry in 41 pass-blocking snaps and earned a PFF pass-blocking grade of 84.6.

Kansas City Chiefs 27, Baltimore Ravens 20

Ravens TE Isaiah likely

Likely set a career high with 111 receiving yards and received a PFF overall grade of 91.8 in a season-opening loss to the Kansas City ChiefsHe forced three missed tackles on nine pass catches and averaged 3.17 yards per route run.
