Users of the ACE app can now compare their fuel bills directly from the pump. The Auto Club Europa eV, which is behind the application, has entered into a cooperation with PACE and has integrated their “Connected Fueling” system into its own application.
The new feature can be found in the current version 4.3 of the ACE app. Users of the application no longer need a separate app to pay at the pump, but can now use PACE’s “Connected Fueling” system directly from their club application. Membership in ACE is not required for this.
However, this function requires a user account with “Connected Fueling”. With these login details, you can then activate the function within the ACE app. The new menu item is hidden behind the three dots displayed on the top right of the app’s homepage next to the profile settings.
Compatible petrol stations can be filtered
In this context, the petrol station search integrated in the ACE app has been expanded to include an additional filter. If the corresponding checkbox is ticked, only those petrol stations that support payment at the pump are displayed.
The ACE app is a recommended download, regardless of this function, but especially for members of the automobile club. In addition to fuel prices and a route planner, you will also find functions such as the ACE breakdown emergency number, the addresses of ACE’s trusted lawyers, a vignette shop and general country and traffic information.
More than 7,000 petrol stations across Europe
The availability of “Connected Fueling” has steadily increased over the past few years. Most recently, we were able to report that the platform is being expanded to include around 1,200 Esso stations. In Germany, in addition to Esso, JET, HEM, Q1, Hoyer, BayWa and Calpam are among the supported petrol station brands. Otherwise, the function is also available at participating petrol stations in Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Austria.
