Will Indiana University host ESPN’s College GameDay this season?

Former Indianapolis Colts player and current ESPN anchor Pat McAfee thinks they should. During an episode of The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee said he was impressed with Indiana’s undefeated start.

“(IU football coach Curt) Cignetti said, ‘Google me, I win,'” McAfee said. “And I’ll tell you what, the damn son wasn’t lying.”

The Hoosiers are 5-0 for the first time since 1967 and are ranked No. 24 nationally.

“Must be a College GameDay watch,” McAfee said.

Week 6: Preview of Indiana’s game against Northwestern

IU brought College GameDay to Bloomington for a Thursday game in 2017, although not as part of the traditional Saturday event.

“What Cignetti is doing, he brought GameDay to JMU, and it feels like he’s bringing GameDay to Bloomington,” McAfee said. “And I’m excited about it. These people here are great. They focused on basketball, they focused on Little (.500), they focused on other things. Now with football.” An option in the fall, Indiana will be majestic for some time to come.

IU faces Northwestern on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. with a chance to improve to 6-0.
