There are only three days of competition left at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, but things are getting better and better.
Para-canoeing is finally starting at the Vaires-sur-Marne stadium and the first medals are being awarded in sitting volleyball. Will Morteza Mehrzadselakjani and the Iranian team win their third consecutive gold medal in the men’s tournament? We can’t wait to find out.
The lineups for the wheelchair basketball medal games will be decided on Day 9. The medal games will take place on September 7 and 8. At the Grand Palais, Thailand’s wheelchair fencing legend Saysunee Jana will try to win her third gold medal at the Paris 2024 Games.
Here’s everything you need to know about day nine.
Para-canoe starts at the Vaires-sur-Marne stadium
The last sport to compete at Paris 2024 is para-canoeing, which starts on day nine at the Vaires-sur-Marne stadium. The first day will feature heats for all 10 events, before two days of medal competition.
In total, around 100 athletes will demonstrate their strength, technique and determination as they sprint across the finish line at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris.
“Our sport is super exciting, but it’s over so quickly. If we could generate a little more enthusiasm for it, that would be really good,” said Australian Curtis McGrath, who wants to defend his two titles from Tokyo 2020.
