OCEAN CITY, MD — The Ocean City Police Department (OCPD) is asking the public for help in identifying individuals and a vehicle connected to a recent theft. The incident occurred on August 9, 2024 at approximately 5:58 p.m. near a restaurant in the 128th Street area.
Authorities are looking for a silver four-door hatchback with significant damage to the driver’s side that is believed to be involved in the theft. The OCPD has released images of the individuals and the vehicle to aid in their identification.
Citizens who have information about the theft or recognize the vehicle and the people in the pictures are asked to contact PFC Kautz at [email protected], quoting case number CC# 2024-003671. Suspect arrested for attempted car theft in DC
Washington, DC – A suspect was arrested in connection with an attempted car theft in northwest Washington, DC
On Friday, at approximately 9:47 p.m., a suspect approached a victim who was sitting in a vehicle in the 600 block of New York Avenue, Northwest. The suspect opened the driver’s side door, assaulted the victim, and demanded the car keys. The suspect was unable to steal the vehicle and fled the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated by DC Fire and EMS.
Officers responded and arrested the suspect, 31-year-old Antonio Byrd, of no fixed address. Byrd was charged with auto theft.

14-year-old among two injured in shooting in Baltimore
BALTIMORE, Maryland. – A shooting in the 500 block of North Glover Street Saturday night left a 14-year-old boy in critical condition and a 41-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries.
Southeast District patrol officers arrived at the scene around 9:19 p.m. after gunshots were reported. Both victims were transported by paramedics to local hospitals for treatment.
