New York, NY — The New York City Police Department is investigating an incident involving the groping of a woman that occurred near the Bedford Avenue station on Monday, August 12, 2024. At approximately 1:40 p.m., a 25-year-old woman was leaving the station when an unknown individual approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks.

The suspect fled the scene on foot; no injuries were reported.

The person wanted in connection with this incident is described as a man of medium build and complexion, approximately 25 years old and approximately 5’8″ tall. He was last seen wearing a light brown long-sleeved shirt, black Adidas sweatpants and carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the NYPD.

  • 16-year-old girl claims she was kidnapped while entering a Brooklyn subway station

    New York, NY — The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a person connected to a reported kidnapping in the 75th Precinct. The incident occurred around 3:07 p.m. Tuesday.

    According to the report, a 16-year-old female victim sent a text message to a family member saying two unknown men had kidnapped her. She was last seen entering the Pitkin Avenue-Van Siclen Avenue subway station on the A and C lines at 2:57 p.m.

    The victim is described as a woman with light skin, black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5’2″ tall and weighs approximately 120 lbs. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, white sneakers and a gray handbag.

  • SWAT team finds dead couple in their home after shooting call

    Homestead, Pennsylvania — The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a double homicide following a call for help in Homestead. At 4:14 p.m., the county’s 911 line received a report of shots fired at a residence in the 100 block of West 15th Avenue.

    Upon arrival, emergency responders found an adult male and an adult female dead inside the home. Homestead Police initially responded to the call about the shots fired and, after receiving no response from the home, requested the SWAT unit, believing a suspect might be inside the home.

    SWAT officers entered the apartment and discovered the victims. Detectives are currently conducting an investigation.
