NFL Week 4: Chiefs-Chargers live stream, start time Sunday, September 29th

The game

In Week 4 of the NFL, the (3-0) Kansas City Chiefs open their AFC West schedule with a visit to So-Fi Stadium, California, where they face the (2-1) Los Angeles Chargers. Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday at 3:25 p.m. Arrowhead time. The game will be broadcast on CBS – locally on KCTV/5 in Kansas City and KCBS/2 in Los Angeles.

The Chargers were a founding member of the American Football League in 1960. After a season in Los Angeles, they moved to San Diego – where they remained for 56 years before returning to Los Angeles in 2017. They have always been one of Kansas City’s division rivals – first in the AFL’s Western Division and then in the AFC West , after the AFL merged with the NFL in 1970.

Sunday’s game marks the 128th meeting between these teams. Until Andy Reid became Kansas City’s head coach in 2013, the Chiefs had a 52-52-1 record against the Chargers. Since then, however, Kansas City has posted a 17-5 record against them. However, seven of the last ten meetings between these clubs have been decided by a single result (two of them in extra time).

The reigning Super Bowl champions started the season in a similar way and picked up three one-score victories that were exciting until the end. In the final five minutes of last Sunday’s 22-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, the Chiefs defense forced Atlanta to give up the ball on consecutive red zone drives.

The Chargers are coming off their first loss: a 20-10 road loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in which they went scoreless in the second half and lost four starters to injuries: quarterback Justin Herbert, right tackle Joe Alt, left tackle Rashawn Slater and passer -rusher Joey Bosa. Slater and Bosa are both listed as out of for Sunday’s game, while Herbert and Alt (along with four other players from Los Angeles) are listed as questionable.
