The Pittsburgh Steelers, led by Justin Fields, kept their fans happy, but suffered their first loss of the season against the Indianapolis Colts 24-27 and were 3-1 on the year.

After failing to reach the end zone in the first half, the Steelers trailed 17-3 at halftime.

Perhaps it was the moment when Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson went down with just under four minutes left in the second quarter that turned the tide in the Steelers’ favor. Alternatively, it could have been Fields who played a crucial role in turning the game around.

After halftime, the Steelers held the Colts scoreless in the third quarter, while Fields gave the team some momentum with a five-yard touchdown run.

The Steelers continued to look to Fields as he scored another touchdown about 11 minutes into the fourth quarter.

Although Fields’ second half looked promising for the Steelers, they were unable to secure the win after a difficult final drive under the two-minute mark in the fourth quarter.

Even though they didn’t get the result they were hoping for, Steeler Nation took to social media to praise their young quarterback in his first season in black and gold.

HELL YES. Fields to Pat. #Steelers still in there. Great job by Fields. 27-24.

Fields finished the day completing 17 of 45 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns.

The Steelers look to bounce back next week when they face the Cowboys on October 6th.
