New products show the future at IMTS 2024

Visitors to IMTS 2024, held September 9-14 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, will have the opportunity to interact with more than 235 metal removal exhibitors and see dozens of cutting-edge products, including these 12 new innovations designed to eliminate inefficiencies and improve overall performance.

Mazak (Booth #338300) will demonstrate the productivity and versatility of the next generation HCN-4000 NEO horizontal machining center with High Rise PALLETECH system at IMTS 2024 as part of the company’s Advanced Machining area.

DN Solutions (Booth #338900) will introduce the new PUMA TT2500SYB dual spindle, dual turret horizontal turning center. In addition to 4″ bar capacity on both main and sub spindles, the new PUMA TT2500SYB features built-in 3,000 rpm drive spindles, each delivering up to 35 horsepower.

Hurco (Booth #338319) will showcase its TM8MYi turning center, designed to bridge the gap between Hurco’s TM Series universal lathes and its TMX Series high-performance lathes. Hurco will also demonstrate the capabilities of ProCobots automation on several Hurco machines and show how easy it is to set up and run different jobs using the Automation Job Manager feature of the Hurco controller.

Okuma (Booth #338500) will introduce three new CNC machine tools at IMTS 2024: the Okuma MA-4000H horizontal machining center, the Okuma LB2000 EX III-MYW horizontal lathe, and the Okuma LB4000 EX III-MYW horizontal lathe. New automation systems debuting include the Okuma SmarTwinCELL (a complete manufacturing cell managed by Okuma technologies), the Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR, a mobile robot for transporting workpieces between machining stations), and the Okuma Robot Loader (ORL, an easy-to-integrate robot for loading and unloading workpieces from machines).

“We attend IMTS to explore ideas and learn what technology is available,” says Brian Olson, co-owner of Olson Custom Designs, a contract manufacturer in Indianapolis. “When a customer presents us with a new opportunity, we are ready to respond; that’s part of our winning mentality.”
