AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley High School’s new agriculture classrooms are now in use.

The Tippecanoe Valley School Board heard this news from Scott Rogers, project manager with The Skillman Corp., at its monthly work meeting on Thursday, August 15, at TVHS. The Skillman Corp. is the construction management company for TVHS’s ongoing construction project, which includes the agriculture section.

“We still have some punch list items … but we’re working on those outside of work hours,” Rogers said of completing the new agricultural section.

As for other parts of the project, the pool is “grouting the last bits of tile,” Rogers said. The tile work will need to cure for three weeks before the water is allowed in. He noted that the pool will officially be finished by “the end of September.”

As for the auditorium, the floors are being prepared for chairs and carpet, Rogers said, and the seating should be installed by the end of August.

“(On) Monday (August 19) we will start installing the stage floor,” he said.

Work is underway on the final part of the project, a multi-use space, Rogers said. He added that exterior work on the building should be completed in October and the entire construction project should be finished then.
