Multiple road closures in Buncombe, Henderson Counties due to Hurricane Helene

Accordingly NCDOT’s real-time traffic mapSeveral roads in Buncombe and Henderson counties are currently closed due to Hurricane Helene.

Buncombe County:

  • US-25 (Weaverville Road) in Woodfin is closed in both directions from Senator Reynolds Road to Baird Cove Road. The opening is expected to take place on Thursday, September 26th at 9 a.m.
  • US-19-BUS (Weaverville Road) in Woodfin is closed in both directions from Senator Reynolds Road to Baird Cove Road. The opening is expected to take place on Thursday, September 26th at 9 a.m.
  • Meadow Road near Biltmore Avenue in Asheville is closed in both directions. The opening is expected to take place on Thursday, September 26th at 10 a.m.

Henderson County:

  • US-64 (Chimney Rock Road) east of Hendersonville is closed in both directions near Pressley Road. The opening is expected to take place on Thursday, September 26th at 8 a.m.
  • SR-1861 (North Ridge Road) near Hendersonville is closed in both directions near Laycock Road. The opening is expected to take place on Thursday, September 26th at 8 a.m.
  • SR-1722 (Pilot Mountain Road) near Hendersonville is closed in both directions near Chimney Rock Road. The opening is expected to take place on Thursday, September 26th at 8 a.m.
  • SR-1353 (Hooper Lane) near Mills River is closed in both directions between Town Center Drive and Jeffress Road. The opening is expected to take place on Thursday, September 26th at 8 a.m.
