Micah Parsons undergoes an MRI on his ankle and provides an update following the Cowboys’ win over the Giants

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – It was a much-needed win for the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium in their 20-15 win over the New York Giants that moved them to 2-2 in the season that ended in September, but two games took place in They caught up in a short period of time as key players, including Micah Parsons, were sidelined with injuries at various points in the game.

Parsons left the contest with a neck problem, which was evaluated before returning to the field, but when he fell to the ground in the fourth quarter with an apparent ankle injury and required assistance from the team’s training staff, that was the end of his evening.

The good news is that, according to Parsons, ankle X-rays after the game were negative, but he is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Friday once the team returns to Dallas.

“I just did it,” the three-time All-Pro pass rusher said. “I know very little. I have an MRI tomorrow. I’ll try to come back next week.”

The next game will be in Pittsburgh against the Steelers, but unlike this week, which saw Parsons and the Cowboys play twice in just four days, the team will begin a mini-bye week, allowing for additional rest and recovery .

It’s currently unknown if Parsons will have enough time to be ready for Week 5, but it looks like the worst-case scenario could be avoided for now.

However, the MRI will reveal the whole truth.
