Metallica plans two concerts at Empower Field in Denver for 2025

Metallica announced Wednesday that they will play two nights at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver next summer as part of their ongoing M72 tour, in what will surely be one of the biggest concert series of 2025.

Tickets for the concerts on June 27 and 29, 2025 in the hall, which seats 76,125 people (often less for concerts), will be available from Friday, September 27, at 10 a.m. on ticketmaster.com. Prices were not immediately available.

The fan club presale begins early Monday, September 23, the band said. “To request your fan club presale code, visit metallica.com/presale-codes. Passes for Denver are valid for both days; single-day tickets for these shows will be available beginning January 17, 2025.”

The tour will feature opening acts Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies and Ice Nine Kills. In Denver, Limp Bizkit and Ice Nine Kills will open the first night (June 27), while Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies will open the second night (June 29).

“We’ve added some cities to our weekend adventures that we haven’t visited in a while, including Tampa (over 15 years!), Denver, Nashville, and a place that’s been on our bucket list for far too long as we’ll finally hit our Bay Area home stadium, Levi’s Stadium, for the first time,” the band members wrote in a statement on Metallica’s website.
