“Star Wars” and “Trainspotting” actor Ewan McGregor said he was “very touched” after being awarded a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 53-year-old Scot, who played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, was “particularly touched” that his award was placed alongside that of the film series’ original Princess Leia, actress Carrie Fisher.

McGregor was joined in a speech by another Star Wars idol, Anakin Skywalker actor Hayden Christensen.

He is the 2,789th star to be photographed on the famous walk in front of the El Capitan Theater on Hollywood Boulevard.

“I’m so touched to be standing here on the sidewalk next to my old friend Carrie Fisher. This means a lot to me.”

In his introductory speech, Hayden Christensen described his former co-star as “the best Jedi Master you could ask for” and “the coolest guy on the planet.”
