Matthew McConaughey is a proud father. The Hollywood star supports his son Levi as he prepares for his acting debut in a new film in which Chris PrattThe 16-year-old actor will star alongside the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star in the coming-of-age production “Way of the Warrior Kid.”
Based on the book by Jocko Willink The film of the same name is produced by Apple and Skydance and directed by Joseph McGinty-Nicholwritten by Will Staples. While Matthew is not involved in the project, but was recently photographed visiting Levi on the set of the film.
The father-son duo share a special moment off-camera, with Matthew showing his support to Levi on his new path in the entertainment business. Matthew has previously spoken about the influence his children have had on him, both in his personal and professional life.
“Having kids, which I know, has made me a better artist and actor, because kids see things for the first time all the time. Their questions are innocent,” he told People earlier this year.
“I’m becoming a better storyteller because I have kids. That means when I come home from working on a show like True Detective, my four-year-old says, ‘What did you do today?’ I can’t tell them what the show is really about, that’s not age-appropriate. So I have to invent a parable for them,” the actor told the publication.
“And so I had to become a better storyteller to tell my children about a good guy, a bad guy and a monster in it, to tell them the parable of the story that I’m in,” he concluded.
