Massachusetts man allegedly caught with child pornography at Logan Airport

A plane lands at Logan International Airport.

Authorities arrested a man at Boston’s Logan Airport on Wednesday and charged him with alleged possession and transportation of child sexual abuse material.

Kesler Xavier Saget of Randolph flew to Logan from the Dominican Republic. When he landed, a border inspection found illegal materials on his phone, according to a statement from the Massachusetts District Attorney. His phone allegedly showed that Saget, 43, had paid for the material.

If convicted of transportation of child pornography, Saget faces a minimum sentence of five years in prison. The maximum sentence is 20 years in prison, with five years to life of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. For possession of child pornography, Saget faces a separate sentence of up to 20 years in prison, with the same period of probation and fine.

The statement noted that this case was part of the Safe Childhood project, a nationwide initiative to combat the sexual exploitation of children.

Saget’s representative declined to comment.
