Hi everyone. The bad news for Manchester United is that they are back in the Europa League; the good news is that they have a chance of winning it. That hasn’t been the case in the Champions League since Sir Alex Ferguson retired and the misery reached its peak last season when they failed to even secure the Europa League parachute awarded to the third-placed team in a group.
For now, the Europa League is United’s level. They won it in 2017, finished second in 2021 and reached the quarter-finals in Erik ten Hag’s first season.
