A man was injured in a shooting at a gas station in Northridge on Tuesday. According to police, the suspect was armed with some type of air rifle.
According to Los Angeles police, the incident occurred at approximately 6:20 a.m. at the Speedway gas station in the 19300 block of Parthenia Street.
The circumstances leading to the shooting are still unclear, but paramedics took the man to a nearby hospital in unknown condition after the shooting.
Investigators have not yet identified a suspect. He is an adult male, between 5’8″ and 5’10” tall, with a large build. He was wearing a gray hoodie and carrying a black pistol. He was last seen running on foot northbound on Tampa Avenue, police said.
After further investigation, they discovered that the weapon was actually an air rifle.
