Chef David Burke said he spoke to restaurant management on the phone that evening.

“I thought they did an excellent job,” he said. “I mean, they did exactly what they should have done. They tried to defuse the situation and called the police.”

A video is circulating on Reddit with a decorative red horse lamp on the wall in which an employee tries to create distance between two tables. The Reddit post says the argument escalated into “attempted murder,” but that was not the case.

warning: The video uses extremely descriptive language.

A man in white says to the guests at the next table: “Guys, take it easy with the old spirits.”

A woman at the next table replies that it was an accident.

The man in white says: “Due to an accident, her whole back is covered in wine.”

Then he looks at a man in blue at the next table and asks: “You have a knife in your hand.”

The man in blue lunges at the man in white as a woman screams, “No! David.”

A fight breaks out, which is broken up by the employees.
