Your first alarm for the next 24 hours is for rain and fog to turn yellow. The chance of rain will continue into the evening hours. We will take a break during the overnight hours and early hours of your Tuesday before another round in the late morning and early afternoon hours.

The fog has cleared as patchy fog is not out of the question as we head into the night hours.

DISCUSSION

After experiencing a soggy second half last week, we’re finally dry this week. We just have to get past Tuesday as there is still a chance of rain in the forecast due to an approaching cold front. As far as the total is concerned, not much can be expected.

Some places might get another .25" Rain in the next 48 hours.
Some locations could see an additional 0.25 inches of rain over the next 48 hours.(WYMT)

Even though we needed the rain, this break is urgently needed. This can cause the soil to dry out a little. As we close out the month of September, we are sure to end this month well above normal. (On Sunday we were 1.10″ above normal.)

Behind the front, we will see plenty of sunshine throughout the rest of the week and into the weekend, with highs falling back into the upper 70s and lower 80s by the weekend.

Enjoy your evening!
