Sales will continue Tuesday through Thursday, with afternoon sessions beginning at 1 p.m., and conclude on Friday, October 4, with the final session beginning at 7 p.m.

The sale will take place as usual in the beautiful and spacious Fasig-Tipton Newtown Paddocks. For those unable to attend, the sale will be livestreamed and live bidding can be made on proxibid.com.

Last year’s sale set a new industry record with gross receipts of over $67.9 million and a number of horses over $100,000. According to sale managers David Reid and Bruce Brinkerhoff, this fall offers another jam-packed catalog from start to finish, featuring yearlings registered in every major jurisdiction.

“Year after year, it is the overall depth of the catalog that impresses,” said Reid. “Our consignors represent the best breeders in the sport and have once again supplied us with an outstanding group of yearlings with the most diverse pedigrees offered anywhere.”

“There are quality offerings at every price point at each session. Horses are eligible for a wide range of sire stakes programs, including 577 with dual eligibility and another 33 with triple eligibility. In addition to all the leading sires in the sport, this year’s edition will feature yearlings from the first crops of Hambletonian winner Captain Corey, Dan Patch and multiple Breeders Crown Champion Perfect Sting, Horse of the Year Bulldog Hanover, In Range, Ready For Moni, Summa Cum Laude, etc., as well as leading international stallions such as Bold Eagle, Calgary Games, Face Time Bourbon, etc.”

Brinkerhoff added, “Our sale stallions speak for themselves, including the last 5 Hambletonians, the last two Hambletonian Oaks, Meadowlands Pace, multiple Breeders Crown Champions and million dollar winners year after year. This year’s sale includes 387 yearlings that are the mare’s first or second foal, showing the strength of young and dynamic families. Breeders have invested again and it shows.”

As has been the case for years, the yearling sale is accompanied by two weekends of major horse racing on the Red Mile, and this combination creates what Reid calls “the Lexington experience.”

“There’s nothing like it in all of harness racing,” he said. “Lexington is the number one destination in the sport, and for good reason.”
