Lawsuit: Florida man seriously injured by “discreetly placed” display item in Victoria’s Secret store in New York

A Victoria’s Secret customer was seriously injured due to an “inconspicuously placed” display in the chain’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue, a lawsuit said.

Steven J. Goodman of Parkland, Florida, visited the Big Apple on November 15 and suffered “serious” injuries due to the “negligently” installed display that was “mounted above the stairs and handrail,” he said in court documents.

Goodman, 66, required emergency medical attention after the accident and claimed the store was aware of the “dangerous and trap-like situation.”

He claimed he required “extensive medical treatment” and would need additional care in the future.

Goodman is the founder and CEO of EvAl Home Health Solutions, which owns and operates home health care businesses in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties, according to the company’s website.

According to his LinkedIn account, he began his career as a sales and marketing manager at Xerox.
