Lady Gaga is setting standards again with her sixth (one and a half) album. harlequinand it’s the first time she’s done it without Tony Bennett. After two standard albums together – Cheek to cheek And Love for sales – This time it is her jokerShe breaks the genre by singing in a way inspired by herself Joker: Folie à Deux Character, Harley Quinn. “I would say that metamodernism actually played a real role in how we approached it in the studio,” Gaga said Rolling Stone. But what would Bennett have thought about changing those standards? “If I had put rock ‘n’ roll chords over production on a record I made with Tony years ago, I don’t know what he would have thought of it,” Gaga said. “Tony didn’t love rock and roll. But he would have said, ‘Wow, that’s great.'” Okay, so she’s saying he was kind of lying, right? But in a nice way?

Gaga goes on to say that Bennett was “a really compassionate, inclusive person” who didn’t ask questions like, “Why is she dressed like that?” Why is she singing like that? Why is her stage performance so theatrical?” Completely understandable, but also the funny thing about it is the implication that he probably is Thought It.
