Kevin Stefanski wonders if he’s still committed to Deshaun Watson after watching the film and discussing it with the front office

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Kevin Stefanski reiterated Monday that he was sticking with Deshaun Watson at quarterback despite the Browns’ 1-4 record and an ugly 34-13 loss to the Commanders on Sunday.

After the game, Stefanski stated unequivocally that “we’re not changing quarterbacks,” and he didn’t budge from that stance Monday after watching the film and attending his regular meetings with the team and GM Andrew Berry.

“This goes back to what I said earlier,” Stefanski said in a video conference on Monday. “I have to train better. As offensive coaches, we have to train better. As players we have to play better. Deshaun can play better, he will play better. He obviously had some good moments and then there are times when we have to play better around him. He strives to get better. As an offense, we strive to put our guys in a position to be successful.”
