“Rap music remains the most influential genre to date. And I will be there to remind the world why. You have found the right thing,” Lamar said in a press release.
Lamar is considered one of the biggest hip-hop acts of all time and cemented that in a rap feud with Drake over the summer. But the back-and-forth between this generation’s top rappers is just the tip of the iceberg in Lamar’s discography.
He has won 17 Grammy Awards and was the first non-classical, non-jazz musician to win a Pulitzer Prize for his album “DAMN.” His latest album, “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers,” was released in 2022.

Lamar’s “Not Like Us” spent two weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
Jay-Z, the founder of Roc Nation, called Lamar a once-in-a-generation artist and performer.
“His deep love for hip-hop and culture shapes his artistic vision,” said Jay-Z. “He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture worldwide. Kendrick’s work transcends music and his influence will be felt for years to come.”
