Kane Brown reveals why his next album only features artists he’s worked with before

Brown will be honored with the Country Champion Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards

Kane Brown has exciting things in the works.

During the E! During the red carpet livestream at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards on Thursday, September 26, the country singer revealed new details about his upcoming album.

“We just finished our tour and we have another announcement coming up,” Brown, 30, teased.

When asked if collaboration requests had increased following his successful tour, Brown replied that they were indeed in the works.

“It’s interesting because I’m working on my album right now and every collaboration on my album is from someone I’ve worked with before,” he said.

Brown added, “I keep the circle small.”

The “Be Like That” singer is nominated for seven awards at the People’s Choice Country Awards, which will be broadcast live from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

Brown is up for 2024 Folk Artist of the Year, 2024 Male Artist of the Year and 2024 Male Song of the Year for “I Can Feel It,” as well as 2024 Crossover Song of the Year, 2024 Music Video of the Year and Song of the year with the Marshmello collaboration “Miles on It.” He also receives the award as national champion.

“Since the beginning of his career, Kane Brown has ensured that his legacy extends beyond music,” Jen Neal, executive vice president of live events and specials at NBCUniversal Entertainment, said in a statement.

Neal continued: “His commitment to empowering and supporting younger generations is nothing short of inspiring and we are delighted to honor him with the Country Champion Award.”

Last year the award was given to Wynonna Judd.

The 2024 PCCAs will air live on NBC and Peacock from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on Thursday, September 26th at 8pm ET/PT.
