The Thai rapper’s stunning appearance first made for a stunning red carpet, as the BLACKPINK member redefined her fashionista status in a custom-made Mugler hooded dress in nude tones. Lalisa Manobal played up her favourites as Bulgari ambassador, accessorising her look with a gold Serpenti necklace.

The K-pop “Rockstar” took home her historic second award for Best K-pop Moon Person at the VMAs, beating out other hits like Jungkook’s “Seven,” NCT DREAM’s “Smoothie,” Stray Kids’ “LALALALA,” NewJeans’ “Super Shy,” and TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s “Deja Vu.” In 2022, she nabbed the same title for her solo single “Lalisa.”

SEVENTEEN leads as best group

SEVENTEEN, meanwhile, secured the trophy for best group, beating the likes of NSYNC, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Twenty One Pilots and other K-pop stars NCT DREAM, NewJeans and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. At the VMA ceremonies in recent years, BTS and BLACKPINK secured this award. Unlike Lisa, SEVENTEEN was absent from the awards ceremony in the USA. Just a few days ago, the 13-member K-pop boy group made their very first headline appearance at Lollapalooza Berlin.

LE SSERAFIM wins the award for the best push performance of the year

Most recently, LE SSERAFIM performed to perform their new songs “Crazy” and “1-800-HOT-N-FUN” during the 2024 MTV VMAs pre-show. The successful South Korean act received the MTV Push Performance of the Year Moon Person award for the first single “Easy” from their third EP. The K-pop quintet beat out Kalii, GloRilla, Benson Boone, Coco Jones, Victoria Monet, Jessie Murph, Teddy Swims, Chappell Roan, Flyana Boss, Laufey and The Warning and is considered the winning young talent in the music industry.
