‘Joker 2’ Day 1 at Box Office: Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga film opens in India at ₹5 cr. | Hollywood

Joker 2 Box Office Collection Day 1: Todd Phillips’ musical starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga was released in Indian theaters on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Wednesday, two days ahead of its global release on October 4. According to Sacnilk the Joker deserves a sequel ₹5 crore at the Indian box office on its opening day. Joker: Folie à Deux benefited from the midweek holiday and the lack of new competition from Bollywood releases this week to score a decent opening ₹5 crore at the Indian box office. While it might see a slight dip on Thursday thanks to mixed reviews and workdays, it is likely to bounce back on Friday and the weekend given the lack of new domestic releases. It mainly competes with Amar Kaushik’s blockbuster horror-comedy Stre 2 and Koratala Siva’s old-school Telugu action epic from last week, Devara: Part 1.

“Joker 2” is expected to be a big hit at the global box office when it hits theaters this Friday, October 4th, as well as in North America and other territories. His first film, “Joker,” which Todd also directed and which won Joaquin his first Oscar, became “Joker 2.” With worldwide box office receipts of over $1 billion, it is the highest-grossing R-rated Hollywood film of all time.
