Jaxson Dart calls out Dylan Stewart for firing celebration and punishment

After picking up his lonely sack Jaxson Dart during the game on Saturday, Dylan Stewart was assessed a 15-yard penalty. During his celebration, Stewart appeared to pretend to shoot the quarterback with an imaginary gun, resulting in a flag.

Below Ole Miss’ 27:3 victory over South Carolinareplied Dart. He used a quote from a Young Dolph Song to call Edwards to the celebration.

Dart was referring to the song “100 Shots,” a dissident song by Young Dolph Yo Gotti. The title comes from an incident in Charlotte in which Gotti’s car was shot.

“How can you miss a full 100 shots,” Dart wrote on social media after Ole Miss completed the victory over South Carolina.

The play would have given Ole Miss a fourth down, but the 15-yard penalty extended the drive. The Rebels eventually scored a 44-yard field goal Caden Davis extend their lead to 27:3 South Carolina as the fourth quarter approached.

It was Stewart’s third tackle of the day and his first sack. He continues to make an immediate impact as a freshman on South Carolina’s defense, finishing second on the team in sacks entering Saturday.

Stewart came to South Carolina as the crown jewel of the Gamecocks’ 2024 recruiting class. Stewart continues to make his presence known as a true freshman. While Jeremiah Smith And Ryan Williams getting the most attention, ESPN’s Dan Mullen previously raved about how Stewart can impact games on defense.

“Well, both receivers are dynamic playmakers, but Dylan Stewart is a game destroyer for the Gamecocks,” Mullen said. “Even though he only has 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles this year, he dominates the game. The pressure he puts on the quarterback, the attention he takes away from the offense. You have to know where he is and pay attention to him.”
