Jennifer Lopez was spotted at Ben Affleck’s apartment building in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles on Sunday, August 11, more than two months after the couple were last photographed together.
Lopez, 55, arrived at Affleck’s home around 5 p.m., stayed for nearly five hours and left shortly before 10 p.m.
Previously, the “On The Floor” singer was photographed in the house of Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner, with whom he has children Violet (18), Seraphina (15) and Samuel (12).
Lopez dropped off her child, Emme, and picked up Samuel to go shopping with him at Neiman Marcus and later to Century City Mall. Although it’s unclear who they were shopping for, Affleck’s birthday is August 15.
Lopez and Affleck are widely believed to be on the verge of divorce. The two were last seen together on May 30 when they attended Violet’s high school graduation. Before that, they attended another school event in Santa Monica on May 19. This sighting ended another dry spell – 47 days – in which they were not seen together.
The news that Lopez visited Affleck, 51, is all the more notable given that the two have reportedly not been in contact recently, with sources saying their business associates have been working out the details of their alleged divorce.
The two spent the summer apart – Lopez vacationed in Europe and the Hamptons while Affleck reportedly focused on work. They were not together for their second wedding anniversary and Lopez’s 55th birthday, both of which took place in July.
Although they live separately, Affleck and Lopez bought a $60.8 million mansion in Beverly Hills in 2023. In July, they listed the home for sale for $68 million, fueling split rumors. That same month, Affleck bought a $20.5 million bachelor pad in LA, which he reportedly hasn’t moved into yet.
Lopez is reportedly looking for a home of her own. The “Jenny from the Block” singer wants to “start fresh” while she and Affleck “move on separately,” a source told People.
Affleck is “doing well,” the insider said, adding, “It hasn’t been the easiest summer for him either. He’s just trying to stay focused and make each day the best it can be.”
On Friday, Lopez was photographed having lunch in Beverly Hills with her 16-year-old daughter Emme.
Lopez and Affleck began dating in 2002 and got engaged shortly after. They split in 2004 but got back together in 2021 and married in 2022.
To potentially make things even more awkward for the couple, Affleck produced a film in which Lopez plays the lead role.
The film “Unstoppable” is a biopic based on the true life story of wrestler Anthony Robles, who won the NCAA national singles championship in 2011 despite being born with only one leg. It is scheduled to premiere in September at the Toronto International Film Festival.
