Have you noticed people on social media staging TSA trays at airports? Many are now calling it the most annoying trend of 2024!

We know how annoying influencers can be. Can you just pretend to be a normal person for a second? Unfortunately, no, they can’t. Now influencers are staging glamour photos of TSA trays going through airport security. As the internet likes to say, “Nobody cares!”

Is the provision of TSA trays at airports the most annoying trend?

It’s the latest way to show that you’re a globetrotter who travels a lot. But is it really necessary? Whatever happened to the good old days when people would just snap a photo out the airplane window? Now we have to look at those neatly organized TSA trays at airports as if we should be impressed. Is this just another trend I don’t understand, or is it really the most annoying trend of 2024?

Airports are often a good place for your Instagram. You can take pictures of your gate, arriving planes, the airport bar, or your luggage. There are so many things to photograph, but we choose the TSA trays at the airport? Hey, anything goes for a like, I guess. However, people have noticed that these photos aren’t even authentic and are often staged! Many people seem to take their photo after they go through the line and are at the benches. This doesn’t make sense, but apparently everyone is doing it now. Have you seen it on your social media feed? Check out some examples below.

I guess it can be a cool look if you plan ahead and make sure all your things match, but be honest! You’re going to do all that for a social media post? I don’t have time for that when I’m heading to the airport. I usually just wear whatever I feel is most comfortable and I’m running late at the airport. Who has the time to get all their things neatly organized and color coordinated for a photo at the airport? It’s one of the most stressful places in the world – no matter where you are.

What do you think? Is this a cool trend? Or is it the most annoying trend of 2024? I know I wouldn’t want to be standing in line behind someone who is doing this right now. We still have somewhere else to go, so keep going, people!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. 13 years after graduating, he was named Clarkston High School’s 2009 class clown. That’s totally normal. He owes that to his time as an intern at Comedy Central and as a social media correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy all over the country, both stand-up and sit-down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on the radio and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also completely uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So basically anything and everything.
