Hailee Steinfeld was “with my love in the city of love.”
The actress and her boyfriend Josh Allen became Instagram official on July 23 via a post from Paris on Allen’s account, and Steinfeld has shared the details of what happened when the two went on their romantic vacation. The Marvel star, 27, opened up about her experience and recommendations in her Beau Society newsletter on Thursday.
“What makes Paris Paris is its uniqueness,” she wrote. “I often think of my last trip.”
One of the most important tasks of the trip: finding a private view of the Eiffel Tower so that 28-year-old Allen could see it for the first time.
“Before this trip, I scoured Instagram and TikTok to find the best spot to see the Eiffel Tower at night – it was important to me to find a good spot because it was Josh’s first time seeing it,” she explained. “As if by chance, we had a dinner reservation at Gigi and the balcony offered us the best view I could imagine. We took all of our pictures there.”
The singer and the Buffalo Bills star had already hinted at a relationship before their Paris outing. Steinfeld was spotted wearing Allen’s jersey last October when the Bills played the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
A few months earlier, Allen was asked if he had heard the rumors that he had been seen “making out with his girlfriend.”
“The fact that anyone cares about this still blows my mind,” he said in the August 2023 episode of the podcast “Pardon My Take.”
His Eiffel Tower post with the caption “Moving on 🤘🏼” put an end to the rumors.
Steinfeld shared other recommendations based on her experience with Allen, including a trip to the Montmartre district. She recommends that visitors set out without a plan and just see where the cobblestone streets take them.
“But if you happen to pass by Pink Mamma, stop by for lunch. Eat at the bar in front of the kitchen if possible,” she added.
And of course, no trip to Paris is complete without food – lots of it. Steinfeld recommends that visitors “eat all the chocolate croissants” and explained how she and Allen went about judging them.
“Every morning we went on a quest to find the perfect chocolate croissant,” she wrote. “We went to random places, ordered a chocolate croissant, and rated them on a scale of 1 to 10.”
Allen and the Bills open the 2024 regular season at home against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, September 8. We’ll see if Steinfeld is there in her favorite jersey.
