How to watch Houston Astros and Mariners on Tuesday, channel, stream and lineups

The Houston Astros enter Tuesday’s game with another chance to clinch the American League West title for the seventh time in the last eight seasons.

To do that, the Astros need a win over the division rival Seattle Mariners, the team still fighting for the same title, and need to bounce back from last night’s loss.

To get back on track, Houston will turn to veteran lefty Framber Valdez (14-7, 2.85 ERA).

In his last start, Valdez allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks while striking out six in seven innings and suffered his seventh loss of the season.

Despite losing in his last start, the veteran has been fantastic in his last seven starts.

He posted a 1.18 ERA with a 0.79 WHIP and 52 strikeouts in 45 2/3 innings during that time.

Valdez was even better in September, pitching to a 0.89 ERA over 20 1/3 innings in three starts with a 0.89 WHIP and 19 strikeouts.

The left-hander will make his fourth start this season against the Mariners on Tuesday.

In his first three games, he allowed a total of 10 earned runs on 18 hits and eight walks while posting 13 strikeouts in 17 innings.

The workhorse has struggled lately, posting a 4.46 ERA over 42 1/3 innings with a 1.02 WHIP and 58 strikeouts in his last seven starts.

On Tuesday, Gilbert will make his third start this year against Houston.

In his first two games, he allowed a total of four earned runs on 10 hits and five walks while recording 11 strikeouts in 14 innings.
