Even though I no longer live in New York City, I still love going there to visit my favorite restaurants, shop, watch shows, and of course, get inspired by New York street style. I just got back from a trip and discovered so many amazing looks and items that I now constantly think about and inspire my own wardrobe and the pieces I choose for my content.
Below, you’ll find the five looks and items I saw everywhere—uptown, downtown, and even in the lobby of my hotel. I stayed at one of Marriott’s Luxury Collection hotels, and I swear I saw at least five people wearing a certain denim silhouette every day. I should also mention that everything I like happens to be available at three favorite retailers: J.Crew, Zara, and Nordstrom. Keep scrolling to check out the items in question, as well as a wealth of shopping recommendations from this trio of retailers.
Wide leg jeans
Barrel leg jeans have been a huge trend over the past few months. As New Yorkers proved on my trip, the look isn’t going away anytime soon. It’s such a fresh denim update and adds a cool twist to any look. Wide leg jeans have also been a classic.
