Even before the playoffs begin, the San Diego Padres have already shown that they are ready to put on a show this year. Fans who don’t want to miss what’s next should think about how they can secure tickets to the postseason.

As of Thursday, the Padres are second in the NL West, three games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Pads want to stop the Dodgers from claiming the division title on Thursday. A loss on Thursday would send the Friars into the Wild Card Series, meaning postseason play at Petco Park could potentially begin as early as Oct. 1.

Here’s what you should know about securing late-season tickets:

When will late season tickets be available?

Ticket sales for potential National League Wild Card and National League Division Series home games at Petco Park began on Thursday.

There are different ticket counters depending on what type of believer you are.

Anyone who has a season ticket for 2024 will have the opportunity to secure tickets from 2024 Thursday, September 26thand those on the waiting list for 2025 season tickets can give their starting signal Friday, September 27th.

Non-season ticket holders can start purchasing tickets now Saturday September 28th. Fans who sign up for Padres Insider emails will receive a presale line beginning at 10:00 a.m. Everyone else can take part in the sale from 12:00 p.m

Some Suite and Hospitality Member customers also have access to advance tickets. Emails have been sent to customers with additional information, the Padres said.

Who can buy tickets?

Postseason tickets are reserved exclusively for season ticket holders and all fans who reside in the following counties and areas:

San Diego County, Baja California, Imperial County, Southern Orange County (San Clemente, Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, San Juan Capistrano, Laguna Beach), Southern Riverside County (Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Hemet, Perris), La Paz County, Mohave County, Yuma County and Clark County.

All orders placed outside of these areas will be canceled and will not receive a refund, the Padres said.

When are the postseason games?

The best-of-three Wild Card Series begins October 1st and the best-of-five Division Series games begin October 5th. The League Championship Series is scheduled to begin on October 13th. The dates are provisional. The full schedule can be found here.

When will the World Series be played?

The 2024 World Series games are scheduled for October 25 to November 2, but could be played earlier depending on the pace of the American and domestic league championship series.
