PHOENIX – Authorities will hold a press conference on September 24 following the seizure of a Phoenix hotel in connection with a drug and money laundering investigation.
Video from SkyFOX above the Royal Inn hotel, located near Interstate 17 and Bethany Home Road, showed a large police presence in the parking lot.
The US Attorney’s Office says the FBI and Phoenix police seized the hotel “due to violations of the Federal Travel Act and money laundering offenses.”

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the Travel Act prohibits “travel or the use of facilities of interstate or foreign commerce for the purpose of furthering any ‘unlawful activity’ as defined by the Act.”
