Here’s how to watch today’s playoff race

play

The NASCAR playoffs take place at Kansas Speedway, which hosted arguably the most exciting race of the season earlier this year. Back in May, Kyle Larson beat Chris Buescher in a photo finish and won by 0.001 seconds in the closest finish in NASCAR history.

But now there’s even more at stake as the second round of the playoffs begins today. Last week, four drivers dropped out of championship contention, leaving just twelve drivers left to fight for the 2024 Cup Series title. After Sunday’s race, the playoffs will take place at Talladega Superspeedway before another elimination race on the Roval – part road course, part oval course – at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

If a playoff driver wins today’s race in Kansas, they will automatically advance to the Round of 8. But each playoff driver will try to collect as many points as possible, as at least one driver will qualify for the next round on points becomes.
