'Haryana victory will reverberate across the country': PM Modi calls Congress a 'parasite' after Haryana, J&K results.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took aim at the Congress, praising its historic mandate in Haryana and pointing to the increased vote share in Jammu and Kashmir. He also brought back his “parasite” analogy to attack the Congress, accusing it of dividing the nation on the basis of caste.
“The guarantee of ‘Vikas’ (development) prevailed against a lot of lies in Haryana, the people wrote new history as…” Government “Elected for a third term in the state,” Prime Minister Modi said Party workers at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.

“The mandate will resonate across the country,” he added.
Talking about the clear mandate for the third consecutive term in Haryana, Prime Minister Modi said, “Congress wants to weaken the country by weakening Indian society and spreading anarchy in India. That’s why he incites different sections. They constantly try to ignite the conflict into a fire. The country saw attempts being made to agitate farmers but the farmers of Haryana gave them a befitting reply that they were on the country’s side, they were on the BJP’s side. Many attempts were made to incite Dalits and OBCs, but this society also realized this conspiracy and said that they are on the side of the country, they are on the side of the BJP.”
Prime Minister Modi also accused the Congress of being part of the group “hatching a plan against India”.
“For some time now, many conspiracies have been hatched against India to weaken India’s democracy and social fabric. International conspiracies are being hatched. National parties like the Congress and their allies are involved in this game,” he alleged.
“Today, Haryana has given a befitting reply to any such conspiracy. Every Indian must undertake that we will not allow such a conspiracy to succeed. India will not deviate from the path of development,” Prime Minister Modi said.
Prime Minister Modi reiterated his “parasite” analogy for the Congress and said, “In the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress won the most seats because of its alliance partners. However, their allies suffered from the trust they placed in the Congress. It is the Congress.” “A party that devours its alliance partners. She wants to create a country where people hate their own culture,” he said.
PM Modi had earlier used this analogy in the Lok Sabha session after the results of the 2024 general elections. Replying to the motion of thanks for the President’s speech in the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Modi had told the Congress that the Congress has become a parasitic party that is gobbling up the votes of its allies.
Additionally, Prime Minister Modi said that the elections in Jammu and Kashmir were peaceful after decades and termed it as a victory for the constitution and democracy of India.
“’Jaha doodh-dahi ka khana, waisa hai apna Haryana’. The people of Haryana have performed miracles. Today is the sixth day of Navratri, the day of Maa Katyayani. Maa Katyayani sits on a lion with a lotus flower in her hand “She blesses us all,” said Prime Minister Modi.
He also lauded the BJP securing the highest vote share in the Jammu and Kashmir polls while extending wishes to the victorious NC alliance in J&K. “Peaceful elections were held in Jammu and Kashmir, votes were counted and results were announced and this is the victory of the Indian Constitution and democracy. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have given the mandate to the NC Alliance, I congratulate them too. If we look at the vote share, the BJP has emerged as the largest party in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
The Prime Minister also praised Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for the party’s victory.
The saffron party clearly won 48 seats in the Haryana Parliament, thereby securing an absolute majority in the 90-member House of Representatives. The party is all set to form its third consecutive government in the state.
