Halle Berry revealed that prince once asked her out on a date in a very special way at his concert.
The 58-year-old Oscar winner told the story on Monday, September 23, in the episode of Jimmy Kimmel Liveand explained that she was a huge fan of the musician and had gone to one of his live performances when a stagehand came over and handed her a message from the “Purple One” himself.
“He had someone come out with a piece of paper. You know how kids do it: ‘Do you like me? Yes or no?’ I said, ‘Yes!’ I mean, I’m at his concert, right?” Berry recalled.
“Came out again (with another piece of paper that said, ‘Would you go out with me?'” Berry continued.
host Jimmy Kimmel asked Berry if she had checked any of the boxes, to which she replied, “No. I did not return the paper.”
The Never let go The actress also shared the flattering compliment she once received from the boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
“I’ll never forget that. I went up to him and I was pretty nervous because it’s Muhammad Ali,” Berry explained. “I said, ‘Oh my God, champ, nice to meet you!’ And he said, ‘Oh, I’ve never met anyone prettier than me.'”
Backstage at Monday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live During the recording, Berry had an interesting encounter with another famous boxer: Mike TysonThe X-Men star revealed that she was with Tyson and his wife Lakiha “Kiki” SpicerAdvice on menopause.
“We were there talking to his wife, Kiki, and I told her, ‘I hear you,'” Berry said. “(I said) ‘When the time comes, I’ll know everything about this subject.’ I had no help. I’m 58 now and nobody helped me. So I want to be the voice of the future for these women and help them get the information they need before it hits them and they think they’re crazy.”
“(Tyson) was like, ‘So what is this menopause? What is it?'” Berry continued. “He was like, ‘It doesn’t affect your sex life, does it?’ And I said, ‘Well, it can.’ But if you get the things you need early on — the education, the information — it doesn’t have to (affect your sex life). You can stay juicy as a peach.”
Berry previously spoke about her fear of herpes, which was actually due to perimenopause.
During a conversation with the First Lady Dr Jill Biden At the “A Day of Unreasonable Conversation” summit in March, the actress said her doctor told her she had the “worst case of herpes he had ever seen.”
The Catwoman Star said when she met her boyfriend Van Huntwhom she described as “the man of my dreams,” that menopause at her age was “not even a thought for me.” “So, we have our thing, we have sex and everything is great,” she said.
“So one day we were having sex like normal,” she recalled. “I wake up in the morning, go to the bathroom and you know what? I feel like I have razor blades in my vagina.”
Berry mentioned how “terrible” she felt, adding that she had visited a gynecologist. When Berry told her doctor that she was “really excited” about her new relationship, he warned her that she was “screwing it up” and had an STD. She and Hunt subsequently underwent tests and their results came back negative.
“None of us have herpes,” Berry said. “It was only afterward that I realized (the feeling) was a symptom of perimenopause.”
Berry said her doctor had “no idea” about perimenopause, which is described as the transition period before menopause and is characterized by hormonal fluctuations and irregular menstrual cycles. “(He) didn’t prepare me for that,” she said. “That’s when I knew, ‘Oh my God, I have to use my platform. I have to use everything that I am, and I have to start making a change and making a difference.'”
