Halle Berry reveals the truth behind the rumors about Deadpool and Wolverine and it’s about Blake Lively

Halle Berry addressed rumors on Monday during a talk show visit that she will be part of the cast of the superhero blockbuster “Deadpool & Wolverine.”

The 58-year-old Oscar winner appeared on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live in a sultry, figure-hugging midi dress with a scallop neckline to promote her survival horror thriller “Never Let Go.”

Jimmy, 56, brought up the superhero topic after Halle told a story about how the late legendary musician Prince asked her out on a date during a performance at the Key Club in Hollywood.

“I want to ask you about a very nerdy rumor, because you played Storm in X-Men. And now that’s part of the Marvel Universe, you know. I heard you might be in Deadpool & Wolverine,” Jimmy said.

“I heard that too,” Halle said with a giggle.

“And who did you hear that from?” asked Jimmy.

“I heard that from…let’s see. I was at a Michael Kors fashion show and Blake, Ryan’s wife, asked me,” Halle said, referring to Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds and his wife, actress Blake Lively, who made a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Halle continued her conversation and revealed that Blake asked her, “If Ryan asked you to be in Deadpool, would you do it?”

“And you said that?” asked Jimmy.

“I said, ‘Sure, of course I would,'” Halle said.

“But they never called me,” Halle admitted at the time, laughing.

“Thank you, Ryan and Hugh. Yeah, they didn’t call me,” she added jokingly, referring to 55-year-old Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman.

Halle played the Marvel Comics superhero Storm, who has the ability to control the weather, in four parts of the X-Men film series, which also starred Hugh.

She played Storm in X-Men 2000 and its sequels X-Men 2 (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), and X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014).

Deadpool & Wolverine featured numerous Marvel characters, including Dafne Keen as Laura aka X-23, Jennifer Garner as Elektra Natchios, Wesley Snipes as Blade and Chris Evans as the Human Torch.

Halle described her new film, “All We Had to Give,” as more of a psychological thriller than a slasher film in the style of “Psycho.”

“Never Let Go” premiered last week at the Regal Times Square in New York City and was released in the U.S. by Lionsgate on Friday.
