Gasoline prices in Florida reach lowest average since June, 13 cents lower

Gasoline prices in Florida fell 13 cents, reaching the lowest average price since June.

“Motorists were able to relax a little at the pump last week as crude oil and gasoline futures prices fell sharply,” said Mark Jenkins, AAA spokesman.

According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), this decline in gasoline prices comes after a four-week period of falling U.S. crude oil prices.

According to AAA, crude oil prices rose 5% last week, closing at $76.84 a barrel on Friday, still below the $80 range seen last month.

According to reports from AAA partner OPIS, the rise in oil prices last week was due to several factors, including a weaker dollar and expectations of a US interest rate cut in September.

According to AAA, regional gas prices in Florida vary. West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, Naples and Gainesville are the most expensive metropolitan areas, while Crestview-Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola and Panama City offer the cheapest prices.

According to AAA, you can save on gas costs by consolidating errands to reduce driving time, shopping around for the cheapest gas prices, paying with cash to avoid surcharges, removing excess weight from your vehicle to reduce fuel consumption, and driving economically to maximize efficiency.
