Garth Brooks takes the stage following sexual assault allegations

Garth Brooks took the stage hours after she was accused of sexual assault and assault by a former hairdresser and makeup artist.

“If there was ever a night I really needed this, it was TONIGHT!” Brooks, 62, captioned an Instagram post shared in the early hours of Friday, October 4th Captioned: “Thank you for my life!!!!! Love, g.”

The photo showed Brooks on stage in front of a large crowd at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The concert was part of the country singer Garth Brooks/Plus ONE Stay at the venue, which is scheduled to last until the end of the year until 2025.

On Thursday, Oct. 3, it was revealed that a woman — dubbed “Jane Roe” — has filed a lawsuit against Brooks, claiming he raped her during a business trip in 2019. According to the filing, the alleged incident occurred while the woman was working with Brooks and his wife. Trisha Yearwood.

She further claimed that Brooks would make “repeated comments” about “having a threesome” with the accuser and Yearwood, 60. The accuser also alleged that Brooks sent her various sexually explicit text messages.

Brooks initially denied accusers’ claims in an anonymous complaint filed in Mississippi last month.

“The defendant’s allegations are not true,” the filing reads in part, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. “The defendant, however, recognizes the significant, irreparable harm that such false allegations would cause to the plaintiff’s well-deserved reputation as a decent and caring human being, along with the inevitable harm to his family and the irreparable harm to his career and livelihood.” This is what would happen if she followed through on her threat to “publicly file” her fabricated lawsuit.

The singer further denied the “Jane Roe” allegations in a statement he shared Us on Thursday.

“For the past two months, I have been endlessly plagued with threats, lies and tragic stories about what my future would be if I did not write a multi-million dollar check. “It was like a loaded gun was being waved in my face,” the statement said. “Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money. For me, that means admitting to behavior that I am incapable of – ugly acts that no human being should ever do to another.”

The singer continued: “We filed a lawsuit against this person almost a month ago to speak out against extortion and defamation of reputation.” In the interest of the families of both sides, we filed the complaint anonymously. I want to play music tonight. I would like to continue our good deeds in the future. It breaks my heart that these wonderful things are now being called into question. I trust the system, I’m not afraid of the truth and I’m not the man they made me out to be.”
