For the second week in a row, the Pittsburgh Steelers fought their way to victory with a strong defense. Several players stepped up to the plate and we saw several career milestones in the win over the Denver Broncos. Let’s hand out some game balls after the win.
Safety Damontae Kazee lost his starting spot to DeShon Elliott, but his game-winning interception secured the Steelers’ victory.
After missing his entire rookie season due to injury, it was great to see Cory Trice make his first NFL interception on Sunday.
The Steelers brought in Corliss Waitman off the street to replace Cameron Johnston, and he scored on eight punts and averaged 53 yards per punt.
The Steelers have scored one touchdown in eight quarters and this one happened to be Sunday and was the first NFL touchdown for tight end Darnell Washington.
Watt finished Sunday’s game with a sack, two defended tackles, two quarterback hurries and a pass defense. He continues to be the team’s best defensive player and one of the best in the entire NFL.
