And the band kicked things off on Thursday night with a livestreamed performance from the Warner lot in Los Angeles, playing for hardcore fans for just over an hour. The set was Linkin Park’s first performance in seven years, following the tragic death of singer Chester Bennington in 2017.

After an intro that included parts of “Castle of Glass” and “The Requiem,” the band started with “The Emptiness Machine,” the first single from From zero. Armstrong appeared on stage halfway through the song to perform her second verse, revealing who the band’s other lead singer would be, alongside Mike Shinoda.

Linkin Park then played a mix of their biggest hits (“In the End,” “Numb,” “Crawling”) and fan favorites (“Lying From You,” “Waiting for the End”). They also made their live debut of “Lost,” the rediscovered single from their 20th anniversary Meteora set last year, with Armstrong leading a piano version of the Top 40 hit.

The band will kick off their six-date arena tour next Wednesday (September 11) in Los Angeles. Until then, check out the setlist for Thursday’s intimate performance and watch the full performance below:
