PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – An investigation is underway after four men robbed a grocery store at gunpoint in Philadelphia’s Mayfair neighborhood on Saturday night.

The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the 3800 block of Tyson Avenue in the Mayfair neighborhood, just before closing time.

According to police, four armed men entered the store through the back entrance while the owner and two employees were still inside.

The suspects forced the owner and employees to the ground and then fled with a “considerable sum” of money, police said.

“As far as we know, there were no customers in the store at the time, just the three employees,” said Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace. “No one was injured in this incident and the thieves stole a significant amount of money.”

According to police, no shots were fired during the incident.

According to police, the suspects were seen on surveillance video wearing masks and gloves and fleeing the scene in a gray vehicle.
